1. Access the Automation Menu: Open your desired database and locate the lightning bolt icon (⚡) in the top right corner. Click on it and select "New automation."

2. Choose a Trigger: This defines when the automation activates. You have two options:

   • Page added: Triggers when a new page is added to the entire database or a specific database view.

   • Property edited: Triggers when a specific property within the database is edited.

Adding Actions:

1. Define the Action: This determines what happens after the trigger is activated. There are four options:

   • Add pages to: Creates new pages in a chosen database and lets you pre-fill their properties.

   • Edit pages in: Edits existing pages within the chosen database, allowing you to modify specific properties.

   • Send Slack notification to: Sends a notification to a designated Slack channel.

   • Set a reminder: Creates a reminder within Notion for the specific page.

Additional Considerations:

• Specifying Scope: During creation, choose whether the automation applies to the entire database or just a specific view.

• Trigger Logic: Automations use "OR" logic, meaning the automation runs if any of the chosen triggers occur.
