How to Enable Notion Light Mode

For those who prefer a bright and airy workspace, light mode is the perfect choice. To enable light mode, take the following steps:

On Desktop:

1. Click on "Settings & members" at the top of the left-hand sidebar.

2. In the new window, navigate to the "My settings" tab on the sidebar.

3. Under "Appearance," use the dropdown menu to select "Light."

On Mobile (iOS and Android):

1. Open the sidebar by tapping the three dots (•••) in the top right corner.

2. Click on "Settings" and scroll down to the "Appearance" section.

3. Choose "Light" from the dropdown menu.

How to Enable Notion Dark Mode

If you are like me and find dark mode easier on your eyes, especially during evening hours, here's how to switch to it:

On Desktop:

1. Follow steps 1 and 2 from the light mode instructions above.

2. Under "Appearance," choose "Dark" from the dropdown menu.

On Mobile (iOS and Android):

1. Follow steps 1 and 2 from the light mode instructions above.

2. Select "Dark" from the dropdown menu under "Appearance."

Notion Dark Mode/ Light Mode Shortcut on Desktop

Notion also offers a convenient keyboard shortcut to switch between light and dark mode on desktops.

Simply press cmd/ctrl + shift + L.

This will toggle the dark/ light mode on the desktop app.
