Content Creation Process with Notion AI

With Notion AI, I have discovered an efficient and time-saving content creation process. Here's how it works:

1. Ideate using a prompt:

   
   Notion AI provides prompts that help generate content ideas. These prompts serve as a starting point, sparking creativity and providing direction for the article.

   
   

2. Generating an outline of the article:

   
   Using the prompts from Notion AI, I create a detailed outline for my article. This outline acts as a roadmap, ensuring that my content is well-structured and organized.

   
   

3. Asking AI to generate paragraph structure:

   
   

   One of the most time-consuming parts of content creation is crafting the structure of each paragraph. With Notion AI, I can simply ask the AI to generate the structure based on my outline. This feature saves me valuable time and allows me to focus on the actual content.

   
   

4. Adding references and editing:

   
   After the AI generates the paragraph structure, I enhance the article by asking it to rewrite it with relevant references.

After this, when the final outline is ready, I can go back and edit the article to use my tone or style. In the future I’ll be experimenting on trying to use AI to copy my writing patterns, by training it on my data :)

Ensuring Accuracy

While Notion AI plays a significant role in expediting content creation, ensuring quality and accuracy remains crucial.

Human involvement and oversight are essential in the content creation process.

One of the issues with AI is generation of references that lead to broken links. These are web pages that have been taken down since they were scraped and used to train AI. Always check the generated links to see if they are working, and most importantly- relevant!

Ensuring Quality: A better way

AI generated content can often be very verbose and hard to read. A good idea is to start with a draft or outline. This can be a simple brain dump, or a set of bullet points.

Using this before going to step 2 can help generate a much better quality initial structure.

Another great following step is to use this content with an app like Hemmingway Editor.

More than any other use case, this is the one I would recommend.
